About Us

Gravesham Borough Youth FC was setup in 2015 to provide football coaching of the highest quality to local children.

We are a FA Charter Standard Development club which is a kitemark awarded to clubs that are well run, sustainable, which place child protection, quality coaching and safety paramount.

GBY currently runs mini soccer, youth and disability teams for children aged 5 to 18, playing in the Selkent, Kent Youth League and Kent Disability leagues. We also run a Veterans team for men over 35 who compete in the Southern Veterans Football League.

The Team Talk
At the end of the 2014/15 season a group of people got together to discuss their love of football and in particular children's football. From this meeting a plan was formed to start a new youth football club in Gravesend. We wanted to create a positive environment where our children could have FUN while learning about the game and so Gravesham Borough Youth Football Club was born.

Kick-off
At this stage we only had a plan for a football club, we didn't even have a name! Then we met with Gravesham Borough Football Club and it was apparent that their ambitions matched our own. They were looking to setup a youth system to provide the first team with stars for the future and we were looking for a well run football club our children could aspire to play for one day. The match-up was perfect. Together we hope to build a football club that the Gravesham community can be proud of.

The Winning Team
We believe that the foundations of our future success will be built upon the strength of our coaching unit. Under the guidance of our Chairman Max Ferdinand, our team of coaches work together to continually develop and improve. If, as coaches, we set a professional example and provide positive role models our players will thrive. Making lifelong friends, staying fit and healthy, and becoming the best footballers that they can be.
